What's Node.js Knockout?

Node.js Knockout is a 48-hour coding contest featuring node.js. The contest is an annual event, generally occur close to the end of August. After a very successful competition last year, Node.js Knockout is back, this time on August 27August 29, 2011.

A location in London

For this year's knockout, a bunch of London Startups with an interest in the Node.js, realtime web, open-sourcery and general awesomeness decided that we'd all get together and host a location in London for people to hangout at and develop things from.

Datasift , Forward , GoSquared and Pusher haved teamed up with the Node.js Knockout folks to host an awesome weekend of hacking madness in London. Forward have kindly offered to open our their sweet offices in Camden. There is space for 50 people, there will be food, there will be beer, there will be hacking.

Anyone who's interested in node.js can join us. We'll give priority to folks in a Node KO team though.

On the day:

We'll be providing the following things on the day at the location:

Due to the number of limited spaces in the actual competition, this is actually an open hackspace, so if you've got something to work on, you're more than welcome to join us!

We'll be kicking off on Friday 26th at 7pm with drinks and some presentations. Everyone can then ready themselves for the starting gun at midnight! Hacking will continue through the weekend until Sunday evening.

We'll also be running an unconference on all things related to Node.js and JavaScript, when you signup for the location, you can put down something to do a talk on.
